Founded in 2017 and based in Pompano Beach, Florida, Doroni Aerospace is shaping the future of personal flight. The company focuses on electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft designed for everyday users. In April 2025, it secured a $30 million investment from Innovation Wings Industries (IWI), operating under the name Kingdom Aero Industries (KAI). This funding will accelerate development of its flagship model, the H1-X.
What is the Mission and Vision of Doroni Aerospace
Doroni Aerospace aims to transform personal mobility. Its goal is to make air travel safe, sustainable, and practical for individual users—not just institutions or governments. Moreover, the company envisions integrating eVTOL aircraft into daily life, reducing ground traffic and reshaping urban commuting.
Doroni Aerospace’s Core Technology and Products
At the heart of the company’s offerings is the H1-X eVTOL, a two-seat personal aircraft. It uses eight vertical electric motors, a tandem wing design, and electric ducted fans for vertical takeoff and landing. Pilots control the aircraft using a single joystick and a touchscreen, allowing for intuitive operation. Doroni plans to obtain FAA Light Sport Aircraft certification.
To strengthen flight safety, the H1-X includes advanced features such as anti-collision sensors and a full-vehicle ballistic parachute. These additions help reduce risk during emergencies, thereby enhancing passenger confidence.
Doroni Aerospace’s Market Position and Traction
So far, the company has received approximately 500 pre-orders for the H1-X. This early demand highlights strong consumer interest. Doroni intends to begin deliveries by 2027, targeting both the U.S. and global markets. As urban mobility continues to evolve, the company is positioning itself as a front-runner in the personal eVTOL space.
Doroni Aerospace’s Recent Fundraising Round
In April 2025, the company closed a $30 million strategic funding round led by IWI/KAI. This deal includes an initial $5 million investment, with the remaining $25 million contingent on developmental milestones. Once these are met, KAI will own a 40% stake in the company.
Importantly, this capital will support aircraft certification, production readiness, and commercial rollout. With these resources, Doroni expects to move closer to its planned 2026 launch date.
Doroni Aerospace’s Strategic Partnerships and Collaborations
To expand internationally, Doroni has partnered with Saudi Arabian organizations, including KAI and the National Industrial Development Center. These agreements—valued up to $180 million—will support regional manufacturing and deployment of the H1-X.
In addition, the company plans to establish a new production facility in Saudi Arabia by 2027. This move will help serve customers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region while reinforcing Doroni’s commitment to global scalability.
Why Doroni Aerospace is a Company to Watch
Doroni Aerospace combines bold vision with real-world traction. Backed by substantial investment and meaningful international partnerships, the company is poised to make personal air mobility a reality. Its emphasis on safety, intuitive design, and regional adaptability makes it a standout in the emerging eVTOL sector.
As cities search for more efficient and sustainable transportation solutions, Doroni’s technology may help redefine how people commute through dense urban environments.
